He is an American poet, editor, translator, and critic, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania since 1990. A key figure of the avant-garde L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E group \u2014known as the \u201cLanguage Poets\u201d\u2014which emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the San Francisco Bay Area.   <br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has published around a dozen books of poetry, including <em>Braille<\/em> (1975), <em>a.k.a<\/em>. (1979), <em>Primer <\/em>(1981), <em>Captive Audienc<\/em>e (1988), and <em>IFLIFE<\/em> (2006). Point things out.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pick up the right things.<strong><br\/><\/strong><em>Hey guess what?<\/em> What? <em>I&#8217;ve learned how to talk<\/em>. Great. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The person whose head was incomplete burst into tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As it fell, what could the doll do? Nothing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You look great in shorts.
